The Sant’Ana Palace, or Jacome Correia Palace, is surrounded by gardens filled with exotic trees. Built during the 19th century, it has many large rooms filled with precious pieces of decorative Azorean art and paintings. Today it is seat to the Presidency of the Regional Government of the Azores.
The City Hall, “Paços do Concelho”, a 17th and 18th century example of baroque construction. It currently houses the Municipal offices.
The Saint André Convent, “Convento Santo André” houses the Carlos Machado Museum. Permanent exhibitions, rich in paintings, sculptures, engravings, ornamental tiles, botanical and zoological collections in addition to an ethnographic section demonstrating scenes of Azorean life, are available for your viewing.
The Ponta Delgada Yacht Club now has a new clubhouse with modern facilities to accommodate the members and special guests. During the summer of 2016 the club celebrated its 115th anniversary, which makes of it the oldest sports club in the Azores.
Ao longo de toda a sua extensão, um constante vaivém de pessoas na sua azáfama diária dá lugar, à noite e especialmente nos serões das quentes noites de verão, a uma calma concentração de cidadãos em saudável convívio social. No extremo poente, a avenida dá acesso ao porto comercial onde se movimenta todo o tráfico marítimo da ilha. Na zona nascente da avenida marginal, o complexo marina-piscina municipal é local que convida a agradáveis momentos de recreio e lazer.
Avenida Marginal, the avenue which follows the coastline of Ponta Delgada hosts one of the city’s important business centres. The entrance to the Port where all the maritime traffic docks on the island is located at the extreme west end of the avenue. During the day traffic along the avenue is constant and on hot summer nights it becomes a popular meeting place.

The Portas do Mar (Ocean Gates) bring together a cruise ship dock, a multi-use pavilion, and a commercial area where you will find bars, restaurants, handicrafts and a rent a car along with many other services. You will also be able to enjoy the Portas do Mar complex´s leisure area which includes a pool and a public boardwalk.
