The Miradouro do Salto do Cavalo closes the itinerary of northeastern viewpoints. In the parish of Salga, even at the extreme of the county, Salto do Cavalo you get a sumptuous view over the Furnas Valley, as well as the north and south coast of the island. You arrive at this viewpoint through a detour indicated on the Regional Road before reaching the parish of Salga. Around the belvedere you can also see some Laurissilva, and in the summer and winter months it is also possible to observe a small bird called "priolo".
