São Pedro

In chronological terms, this was the fourth of the parishes of Santa Maria, created about 1603. The first seat of the parish was the primitive hermitage of St. Peter, in the place of the St Peter's, which Frutuoso claims to be one of the four existing chapels " above the village "located further along the path " of the Church of Santo Antão.
